Terms of Use.

Last Revised: September 21, 2026

The service

Moodwave is a free tool by Point Woebegone that reads your Spotify library and groups it into mood playlists, which you can push back into Spotify. By entering with Spotify you agree to these terms.

Free, as is

Moodwave costs nothing and promises nothing beyond its best effort: no guaranteed uptime, accuracy, or availability. There is no paid tier today. If that ever changes, it will be announced in advance and never applied silently.

Spotify connection

Building requires a Spotify account in good standing; exploring the mood rooms does not. You are responsible for keeping your Spotify account secure. Moodwave acts on it only within the permissions you approve at login, and only when you ask it to (Build, Push). Use of Spotify itself remains governed by Spotify terms.

Fair use

To keep the room free for everyone: 30 playlist builds per hour and 150 per day per IP, 6 AI assists per day per user, plus burst guards on login and push. Limits may be tuned to protect the service. Circumventing them with scripts, rotations, or shared abuse is prohibited.

Acceptable behavior

Do not use Moodwave to violate Spotify or any provider terms, to scrape or resell the service or its outputs at scale, to probe or attack the infrastructure, or for anything unlawful. Mood tags are opinions of an engine, not facts about artists; do not present them as endorsements.

Suspension and termination

Access may be suspended or ended for violations or misuse. Since there are no accounts and nothing is stored, ending access simply means the door stops opening for that address.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Point Woebegone is not liable for indirect or consequential loss from using Moodwave, including playlist outcomes, provider outages (Spotify, Last.fm, AI helpers, hosting), or rate limit messages on a busy night.

Changes

The service and these terms may change. Material changes move the Last Revised date and continued use counts as acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
